Dance Foundations
Fun and focused classes for dancers from 9 years to adult!

Your child will thrive in our Dance Foundations: Ballet & Contemporary class, as they learn technique for both disciplines, and investigate dance and movement creation. We also have Dance Foundation classes for adults! If you've ever wanted to dance, now's your chance!

So what does a Dance Foundations class look and sound like? Your child (or you!) will start their class at the ballet barre, learning and exploring ballet ballet technique, before moving to the centre for adage and jumps. After a quick break we switch our focus to contemporary dance, beginning with  small movements that increase in size, then progressing to big, traveling steps going from one corner of the room to the other. Finally, we wrap up with some movement games, bringing the class to a close with a bow and applause for each other’s effort. Music often takes the form of recorded piano, drums and other instruments, and we may occasionally joined by musicians.
