In-person class updates in response to COVID-19:
- Mask wearing is currently optional at the studio.
- Most of our in-studio dance classes have an online option, so that students that would rather attend from home can do so. Contact us for details.
- Classes that do not reach full enrolment may be combined or cancelled.
- We have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, and augment ventilation during classes by keeping our outside doors ajar whenever possible.
- Only class participants are allowed in the studio; caregivers are asked to drop their students off and return for the end of class.
- Tot & caregiver classes are subject to a one-child-per-adult ratio, and all children attending class must be enrolled in that class. Exceptions may be made for current students who are older siblings of enrolled toddlers, on a pre-arranged case-by-case basis, depending on space availability.
- Makeup classes may be available on a case-by-case basis. Classes missed because of snow days, holidays or other cancellations will not be rescheduled.
- Only students with back-to-back classes are allowed to bring food (nut-free only) into the studio.
- Class start/stop times may change to accommodate requirements.
- If in-studio DANCE class capacity levels are temporarily reduced through official order, we then move to a rotating schedule where each week where some students attend class remotely while the rest attend at the studio.
- In the event of a government-issued stay-at-home directive given during the session, in-studio DANCE classes may move online until authorized to return. In that case, students will need access to a cleared space of around six feet by six feet with a floor that is safe to dance on, plus an internet-enabled device and an internet connection. Other items will be needed on a class-by-class basis. If dance classes do not move online, dance fees will be put on pause.
- In the event of a government- issued stay-at-home directive given during the session, all in-studio AERIAL classes and fees will be paused and will resume when we are allowed to return to in-studio classes. In this case, all aerial students are welcome to join any online dance classes offered at their level for no extra charge.
- All class inquiries and fee payments are to happen through your online account or over the phone.
- Our season runs from September 2022 to June 2023. Tuition for the season is due at registration, along with a yearly membership (registration) fee and any other fees as indicated. For your convenience, we offer an option to pay in monthly instalments through automatic credit card debit (Auto-Pay). Contact us for details.
What attending in-studio class looks like:
- Students may be required to self-screen before attending the studio. Click here for the province's screening tool. Ill and COVID-19-exposed students are required to stay home, where they are welcome to join us remotely instead. Email us by noon on the day of class (7a on Saturdays) so we can set up the remote connection.
- Students are to get fully dressed in their uniforms / clean dance wear at home before class.
- Students arrive at the studio no more than five minutes before class, and wait in their vehicle. When the instructor props open the door, students enter the studio one at a time, sanitizing their hands at the door. Students go straight to their designated dance spots. Students bring their dance bag, outside clothes and water bottle with them, and place against the wall near their designated dance space.
- At the end of class, the instructor sends students out the front door one-by-one to meet their waiting caregivers. ⚠️ Adults, please exit your vehicle and stand near to the studio; students are not allowed to cross the parking lot on their own. Students arriving for the next class wait outside or in their cars until invited into the building by the instructor.
- Class begins and ends on time, and caregivers are asked to pick up their students promptly, as the studio must be empty in order for staff to prepare the studio between classes.
Students are reminded to:
- Go to their designated dance or aerial space upon entry into the studio, and remain there until instructed by the teacher.
- ⚠️ Go to the washroom at home before leaving for class, and fill water bottles at home.
