Your child will relish the challenge of dance and aerial arts!
Students in our Dance Foundations Program are eligible to take the other specialty classes we offer, including Aerial Foundations, Ballet, our Ambassadors Leadership Program, and our Student Teacher Education Program! They can also take Tap Dance, with other classes or as a stand-alone class.
Dance FoundationsHere’s where your child learns the essentials of dance, including good posture, efficient movement patterns, command of one's body, balance and proprioception, musicality, physical literacy, and technical skills! Students perform at community events and at our June showcase. This class is a co-requisite of Aerial Foundations, Ballet, and the Ambassadors Leadership Program.

Aerial FabricsYour child will learn the secret to standing on, leaning out from and spinning on aerial fabric in this fun and challenging. They will increase their endurance through practicing movement sequences, and will hone their understanding by working on aerial choregraphy.
Students this age who take aerial arts at our studio also take our Dance Foundations class, as the classes work in tandem to develop the form and artistry required to advance in the art form. Class option:

Tap FundamentalsYour child will be step-stamp-stomping their way through this tap class, full of commotion and creativity. This class can be taken on its own, or in combination with other classes. Students perform at community events and at our June showcase.

BalletDoes your child pine for the day when they can rise up on their toes and dance en pointe? This focused ballet class works in tandem with our Dance Foundation program to lay the foundation for more advanced ballet work. Like all of our programs, this class is open to all genders.

Ambassadors Leadership ProgramStudents hone leadership skills through planning and helping to run events, and develop their performance abilities through extra on-stage opportunities. Participation is by application and yearly fee, and requires a commitment to attend meetings and events for the whole 2019/20 session. Co-requisite: Dance Foundations.

DanceStep Student Teacher Education Program The DanceStep program encourages and empowers our next generation of young leaders by providing opportunities for students to assistant teach within certain classes. Working alongside our dance teachers, assistants also study theory, providing valuable knowledge in areas such as Anatomy, Safe Dance, Learning Styles and Musicality.
Each level is completed over the course of a studio year and has an online theory component, and an in-class practicum component. Admission is by application. Students must be age 10 and up to participate, and be a member of our Ambassadors Leadership Program. A per-level fee applies. |
